Our Story
As General Kutuzov stated in Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace, “there is nothing stronger than those two: patience and time, they will do it all.” These two virtues have played a significant role in the creation of Lucerna Wealth.
At a crossroads in my life, I embarked on the Camino de Santiago, a renowned medieval Christian pilgrimage in Spain. It was during this journey that I had a moment of clarity and realized that I needed to take a leap of faith and pursue my calling to start a business where I could help people, even though I wasn’t sure how to make it happen. The Camino had a profound impact on me in other ways, and I even named my son after it.
The Camino de Santiago translates as the ‘way of st. James’ and through a series of serendipitous events, I ended up building a financial services business with St. James’s Place. Destiny or coincidence? Time will tell.
However, patience was still required, and before starting my own business, I apprenticed with one of the largest and most successful practices in the St. James’s Place family for six years.
Now, in 2021, after patience and time have run their course, Lucerna has been born. Its purpose is to collaborate closely with clients to illuminate the sometimes daunting and uncertain path of building financial security or planning for one’s legacy.
“A light to guide your path on a lifelong journey, that as one we craft”. A journey that is not completed overnight, but patiently and with time.
